Selecting a Soother

When it comes to all things baby, having a soother is a very personal preference, and I totally respect your choice as a mother.

My own baby was born early, and so a soother was introduced very early on while he was in nicu to encourage him to learn a sucking reflex that he was meant to learn in the womb! I was very lucky - He really did not care about a brand or type of dummy he had, as long as one was offered (I didnt know other types existed either!)

For those who want to select a soother, here is a quick overview,

Generally, soothers are made from Silicone, Latex or Rubber and there is a few different shapes & styles

Shapes common in a soother might be Orthodontic (Gentle on gums), Round (or Cherry, most popular) or Symmetrical (to be close to a natural bf shape)

Did you know you can get glow in the dark soother handles? I mean, how handy is that!

As for the teat, it can be air filled (bubble style) or Vented (allows movement) or even solid silicone like the brand we stock ""plum" - every baby seems to have a preference!

Please let me know if you would like any specific brand stocked and ill do my upmost to make it happen.

I've also added a "dummy concierge" delivery to those in a close radius for guaranteed delivery during the week on the spot - I know sometimes its just too hard to get to the shops!

I'm trying to stock thoughtful brands and as a proud Australian, it is my aim to stock as many australian owned & made soothers as I can!

When it comes time for my baby to transition out of the soother phase? Well, thats a story for another day!

Until next time, take care, and thank you for supporting my dream!
